Build up your skills, knowledge and confidence.

When you have completed all of the lines above you will be nominated for our 'Grammar Ace' Award.

Two weeks later, you will be tested on the skills listed above - to make sure that you have remembered what you have learned. If you score 80% or more in that test your 'Grammar Ace' Award will be confirmed and you will receive your certificate.

If you end up forgetting some of the skills and rules of grammar in your written work, then the problem area will be highlighted in amber (or red if you are making frequent errors). You will be given one week to revise that area and then you will be tested in it. You must pass in order to go back to a green light.

Your 'Grammar Ace' Award will be taken into account when classes are being set. Along with other English Department Awards, it will also be taken into account when considering the possibility of your promotion to a higher level of English class. Possible promotions will be reviewed at the end of each term.
