Rectrix 1997- Carole Ford was brought up in Eaglesham and is a graduate of the Universities of Glasgow and Wisconsin, U.S.A. She began her career as a Mathematics teacher in Adelphi Secondary, Glasgow, and was Principal Teacher in the subject at John Neilson High School, Paisley, and Castlehead High School, Paisley. Immediately prior to her appointment as headteacher of Kilmarnock Academy she was Depute Rector at Coatbridge High School. As a member of the Scottish Secondary Mathematics Group she writes Mathematics textbooks, the most recent for the new Higher Still course (published by Heinemann Educational). Outside education, her major interest is foreign travel, particularly to the U.S.A. |
