Kilmarnock Academy - Pupils' Poems

Webs

They spin webs

Big sticky white webs

And don't seem to care

If you get caught in their webs

All day they sit waiting

For unsuspecting flies

For them to get caught

In their webs

Dreaming with those hundreds of eyes

Of flies and jenny long legs

At night they come out

Searching with those eyes of theirs

For poor little innocent creatures

With their scary features

I don't like spiders or their webs

And at night I wait

For them to come out

To start to spin their webs

School

I went to school this morning

To see what I can learn

I walk in to my classroom

The teacher's rather stern

He says, “Give out the jotters”

He says, “Sit down, behave!”

I look around the classroom

My friend starts to wave

The clock starts a ticking

The bell begins to ring

As I walk out to the playground

The birds begin to sing

The break is over now

And I am sent to doom

As I have Maths next

I hope it's over soon

After Maths it's English

English then it's lunch

So I will get a packet of crisps

Can you hear them crunch?

I'm in P.E. now

A double period, whoop, whoop!

We're all playing basketball

I get the ball in that hoop

P.E. is now over

And I am walking hame

I'll get ready for tomorrow

Which will probably be the same!
